We begin with the surprising firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson by President Trump, and note that Gina Haspel, Mr. Trump’s newly named director for the CIA, faces a possible arrest warrant in Germany; report on the growing tensions between Britain and Russia following Russia’s suspected involvement in an assassination attempt in Salisbury.

Angela Merkel is elected to fourth term as German chancellor; Putin blames Jews and minorities for U.S. elections meddling, while France refuses to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

We report on growing division between liberal and conservative factions around Pope Francis; note the powerful influence over the EU of  Cardinal Reinhard Marx; and conclude with a Canadian judge’s ruling for religious freedom.

We begin highlighting the international turmoil caused by President Donald Trump’s announced intention to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum; report on crucial decisions for a German government and the less than conclusive elections in Italy.

We note the emerging role of PESCO as Europe builds its military; report on the Trump administration’s lawsuit against California; cite the comparison of President Trump to Cyrus; present yet another report involving gay priests in the Catholic Church—and conclude with Stephen Hawking’s confusing explanation about “nothing.”

In this issue, we begin with addressing the ongoing conflict with North Korea which is far from over and which might very soon reach a boiling point with terrible consequences; report on America’s surprising announcement to [sort of] move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of Israel’s founding on May 14 and with Nakba, the mass migration of some 700,000 Palestinians.

We continue with reporting on turmoil in the White House and the proposal of trained armed teachers in schools, which has met with strong resistance from America’s teachers’ unions and others; point out the willingness of many companies to finally cut ties with the NRA; address the question as to what the Second Amendment actually DOES and DOES NOT say; and explain why there is so little gun violence in Israel.

Focusing on worldwide terrorism, we show that ISIS is far from being defeated and that the infiltration of terrorists is a legitimate concern, which needs to be addressed—but we also show the problems with the way in which some want to address it—including controversial demonization and hypocritical and impractical, if not illegal, immigration proposals.

We focus on a possible trade war and an interesting rising star in Angela Merkel’s cabinet; and discuss the rise of fascism in Italy.

We conclude with an article about increasing demonic possession in Italy and elsewhere; as well as with an update on the despicable situation regarding the court-ordered loss of custody by parents of a transgender child. In this regard, please view our new StandingWatch program, “Sexual Relationships—Everything Goes?” We also published a new StandingWatch program this week, titled, “Was Billy Graham Wrong about Everything?”

We begin with the explosive sessions in Munich, Germany, during the International Security Conference; continue with the European and German realization that in light of American unreliability, more must be done to achieve their goal of a European army; focus on new scandals in Germany; Europe’s attempts to re-write history; the deteriorating relationship between Israel and Poland; and the UK’s schizophrenic approach regarding Brexit; and we speak on Israel’s warning to attack Iran; flagrant war crimes in Syria; and the real possibility of a nuclear war by accident.

We continue with the diverse reactions to the American indictment of 13 Russians and Russian companies in connection with the 2016 US election; and focus on the aftermath of the school shooting in Florida, while especially addressing the thorny and politically inconvenient issue of gun control. In this regard, please view our new StandingWatch program, titled, “Will Horrific Mass Shootings Ever Stop?”

We also speak on the despicable practice of tabloids to buy “stories” in order to bury them, and address the death of Billy Graham.

We conclude with reports on Yellowstone’s supervolcano; earthquakes in Mexico and Wales; sexual travesties which were committed by aid workers in Africa and Haiti; the loss of parental custody over a dispute regarding their teenage daughter who wants to be a boy; a new law in Switzerland prohibiting the cruel treatment of lobsters; and the “creation” of the first interspecies sheep-human chimera.

We begin with explosive developments in Germany and discuss the ongoing public dissatisfaction with the current and proposed new government, while also addressing the uncertain and perhaps somewhat surprising future of Martin Schulz and Angela Merkel. (Also note this week’s Editorial on the developments in Germany, as well as our new StandingWatch program, “Germany’s Dirty Politics.”  The program was also published in the German language, titled, “Deutschlands Schmutzige Politik.” ).

We continue with the short temporary shutdown of the US government; an agreed-upon budget pact of $400 billion; and President Trump’s proposed controversial $4 trillion budget for 2019; Dow Jones’ unprecedented rollercoaster ride; the sure expectation of a very bad recession within perhaps three years; the interesting perception that President Trump does not understand economics, combined with one of his proposals which seems to be dead on arrival; another court ruling blocking the implementation of his decision on DACA; his politically risky refusal to release the Democratic response to a Republican memo charging the FBI and others with wrongdoing; and his stance on domestic violence in the light of continued allegations against him of harassment and improper sexual conduct.

We address the horrific mass shooting in Florida; the volatile escalation of the situation in Syria, as it pertains to Israel and Iran as well as the USA, Turkey and the Kurds; and the interesting recommendation that in light of America’s total absence in the Syrian issue, Europe and especially Germany should intervene to avoid the outbreak of a terrible third war in the region. We conclude with Israel’s strong position to ignore America’s stance if it conflicts with Israel’s interests; and America’s concern regarding the European Joint Defense Agreement; as well as a shocking article about Poland.

The world has experienced several days of crazy trading. The Dow Jones bounced back late Tuesday, but dropped again Wednesday and on Thursday, it plunged again more than 1,000 points. The loss has been tremendous [for instance, time.com reported that Warren Buffet’s net worth dropped by $5 billion on Monday alone] and the world is getting a foretaste as to what is surely going to happen very soon.

The Vatican and Turkey, as well as the Europeans, are ganging up on Israel and are fighting for the Temple Mount, and our new StandingWatch program, titled, “The Vatican’s Fight for Mount Zion and Jerusalem,” addresses this prophetic development in detail.

Poland is anxious to deny any responsibility for the Holocaust, and a political move by Germany’s controversial foreign minister (SPD) supports Poland and angers Israel. However, these questionable actions are only helping the right-wing AfD to gain further ground in Germany. As we predicted, Angela Merkel (CDU) and Martin Schulz (SPD) finally struck a coalition deal to form a new government, which still needs to be approved by the membership of the SPD.

At the same time, Germany seems to abide by EU rules only when they are advantageous to Germany.

Current Events

We begin with President Trump’s first State of the Union address, which seemed to have failed in bringing about more unity between the two warring parties; and we continue with the unique and at times rocky relationship between the State of Israel and America’s evangelicals; the resurgence of atrocities in Afghanistan as an apparent response to America’s new security policies; further incredible facts about Hawaii’s incompetency in relationship to the false alarm of a nuclear attack; the conviction of most millennials that America is on the wrong track while President Trump’s approval rating is climbing; serious concerns for world conditions in 2018 due to President Trump’s unpredictability and his short temper; and the dark prospects of a trade war between Europe and the USA with terrible consequences for the entire world.

We continue with ongoing steps to unify continental Europe as a most powerful entity; address the coalition negotiations in Germany, under Angela Merkel and Manfred Schulz; speak about Austria’s role as a “bridge-builder”; point out the UK’s failing army; and point out further disagreement regarding Brexit talks.

In the remaining part of this Current Events section, we speak on abominable “scientific” experiments with animals and humans, including by car manufactures in Germany and the USA; the cloning of chimpanzees and the creation of human-animal hybrids; the inevitability of a huge earthquake in Canada; and the rise of demonic activities in Ireland and elsewhere. We warn of dangerous statements by Pope Francis in this context [please see our new StandingWatch program, Demon Uprising or Medical Side Effects?”]; and we conclude with an article proving the existence of God as the Creator of our solar system.

Throughout this section, we have underlined pertinent statements in the quoted articles, for the convenience and quick overview of the reader.

We begin with dramatic developments in the USA regarding the 2018 shutdown of the government “in a striking display of Washington dysfunction,” while the blame game is continuing. The subsequent temporary reopening of the government on Monday, January 22, until Thursday, February 8, does not give great reason for optimism. For this topic and many of the other topics discussed in these Current Events, see our new StandingWatch program, Biblical Standards and Prophesies Are Never Wrong!”

We also report on alleged highly inappropriate sexual conduct and subsequent cover-up attempts by Donald Trump prior to his Presidency (showing again the complete lack of any American “moral” influence and leadership in the world); and we point out that others share, at least to some extent, our firm conviction that President Trump will be reelected in 2020 (if there are new elections in 2020).

We address the different positions of the USA and Europe towards Israel and the Palestinians, and we continue discussing events in Germany, where Martin Schulz’s party (SPD) gave him the green light to enter into coalition negotiations with Angela Merkel (CDU), and even though the media and others had voiced strong doubts that such negotiations could take place, or that they would result in a grand coalition between the CDU and the SPD, we state again our firm belief that such a grand coalition WILL take place and that Angela Merkel and Martin Schulz will play key roles in the drive to unify Europe, while (by then) Germany’s biggest opposition party, the right-wing anti-European AfD, will not make it easy for the new government, meaning that Merkel and Schulz will have to make strong and decisive decisions.

We address the relationship between Germany and Poland and the further demise of the UK in light of Brexit (which we also proclaimed for years, and we say again that renewed attempts in Britain to revoke Brexit will fail).

We speak on Pope Francis’ support of a Catholic bishop in Chile who is blamed for knowingly covering up sexual child abuse cases; address attempts of governments to restrict or “regulate” bitcoin (reminding us of biblical prophecies regarding the mark of the beast and the ability to buy and sell); point out the European goal to censor the Internet and to disallow allegedly “offensive” statements (including those, of course, which are based on biblical teaching); speak on unprecedented winter conditions around the world which cast doubt on the claim of man-made global warming; address potential dangers regarding the consumption of raw or undercooked infected seafood; and point out the terrible side-effects of an anti-influenza drug.

We conclude with the situation of medical marijuana in Germany. Even though it is legal there, it is difficult for patients to obtain it, showing again the heavy influence of the opposing money-making pharmaceutical industry. We also publish a convincing article on the fallacy of the Evolution Theory.

We report on the frightening events pertaining to a false emergency notification claiming an immediate missile attack on Hawaii (please see our new StandingWatch program, titled, Hawaii’s Nuclear Alert Disaster–a Foretaste of Things to Come”); and continue with the history of American presidents, using foul language, in light of Donald Trump’s mischaracterized statements pertaining to Haiti, El Salvador and certain African nations.

We continue with America’s monumental debt, which is actually mirrored and even surpassed by national debts of other countries, showing the extremely fragile worldwide economic situation. We also report on further alienation between Turkey and the USA and the blatant attempts by Washington to delay the move of the American embassy to Jerusalem.

We address the first meeting between Sebastian Kurz of Austria and Angela Merkel of Germany; and we discuss the attempts of Angela Merkel and Martin Schulz to create a grand coalition and establish a functioning German government, and focus on “the most powerful German in Brussels.”

We conclude with an article explaining the many problems with the worldwide #MeToo movement.

Current Events

We report on the continuing embarrassing domestic and international circus created and perpetrated by the Trump Administration, including President Trump’s Twitter war and his behavior in general which has caused some observers to question his memory and/or capability. We also speak on the ongoing debate regarding the protection of “Dreamers” and Jeff Sessions’ controversial conduct as Attorney General. We emphasize in this context the annulment of alliances and the forming of the United States of Europe under German and French leadership in an attempt to fill the gap caused by the USA. In this regard, please view our new StandingWatch program, titled, “America and Britain–Global Leaders No More!”

At the same time, we notice a clear orientation of some European countries towards the far right, including Hungary, Poland and Austria, which will have an impact on the rest of Europe. We focus especially on developments and restrictive measures in Austria and Germany which cast a dark shadow on things to come.

We conclude with articles on Facebook restrictions; the bitcoin success; and the California flu outbreak which raises again some very uncomfortable questions regarding the faulty reasoning of “medical science.”

Throughout this section, we have underlined pertinent statements in the quoted articles, for the convenience and quick overview of the reader.
