When we become baptized and a member of the Church, how does our life change? Does it change for the better or worse? A lot depends on our attitude and how we look at life. Are we better off now that we have become members of the body of Christ?
Sermons
No Escape From Death
We do not know when we will die, but we do know that we will die. Death is inescapable, and so we need to be prepared. How will we die? Will our day of death be better than our day of birth? Will we die the death of a righteous? Will we be blessed in death? Will death have lost its sting for us? Will the crown of life await us?
The Joy of Sin
We are inundated with the concept that Christmas is the most joyful of all seasons. While many grasp to find some sort of joy, it is at most just a passing feeling. Real and lasting joy can only be understood and experienced while God is involved in our lives.
The Inner Man
Christians are undergoing a profound change! It involves the renewing of how we think and behave, and it will lead to a transformation from mortal, fleshly existence into that of immortal, spirit life in the Family of God!
The Prophets Hang on Love, Part 1
According to the words of Jesus, all the Law and the Prophets hang on the two great commandments of love towards God and love towards neighbor. In this sermon, we will show how the first four of the Ten Commandments are covered in the Prophets, emphasizing that God is our only God who prohibits the worship of idols and who enjoins us to hallow His name and His weekly and annual Sabbaths.
Legacy
Quench the Fiery Darts
Temptations and taunts are among the most effective tools that Satan uses to cause a Christian to fall away from the truth. Faith is a tool that we can use to guard against any threat that might cause us to turn from God and follow the ways of the world.
A New Creation
Christians stand out as different! We are unlike anyone else in the world, and it is because we have the TRUTH of God. Yet, the significance of becoming a Christian also has astounding meaning in the ultimate plan of God—few understand that God has already begun His process of making “all things new.”
Past, Present, Future
The Bible shows us how the past, present and future all work together. Through past examples for our own admonition, we can learn from them in our present lives by obeying God, so we can be counted worthy to make it in the future.
Leaving the Church of God?
There have always been those who left the Church of God because of numerous reasons. Not everyone who attends Church services is part of the Church of God. Still, membership in the true Church of God is necessary for salvation. This sermon shows what is the Church of God; who leads and directs it; and why one must not forsake the Church of God, if one wants to inherit eternal life.
