The Fool
As described in the Bible, a fool is the opposite of a wise
person. The decisive and foundational teachings found in the Word of God help us
avoid playing the fool, and these instructions hold great implications for those
who seek to follow Jesus Christ!
How Real Is God To You?
Why is God so unreal to most people? God tells us to prove or examine Him, to try Him out. You can become a friend of God. You can experience answered prayers in your life, healing from sickness, Godly protection and financial blessing. Here is how.
The Beatitudes – Part 2
Judgment, a pure heart, peacemakers, and being persecuted round out the second part to the beatitudes. They are important keys that show us how to better ourselves as Christians in our daily fight. The key is that we cannot give up!
Babylon the Great
Does Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in Daniel 4 about a cut-down tree have a hidden prophetic meaning for us today? Does Daniel 4 tell us that the ancient Babylonian Empire was imprisoned or chained or paralyzed since its fall in 539 B.C., but came back to power in 1982–exactly 2,520 years later? Is there ANY biblical or historical evidence for such a claim?
A Priesthood
What is God’s purpose for us? If we have been told–if the Bible reveals what our future is–then that places responsibility on us for what we are doing now
The Wisdom of Solomon
Solomon was an extraordinary king. He was a prince of peace, ruled over a magnificent empire, and lived in luxury and wealth. His wisdom was greater than that of all men living at the time. And still, Solomon had a dark side in his character which led to his downfall. What can we learn today from the “Wisdom of Solomon?”
This World and God's Holy Spirit
This is Satan’s world. It is a world held captive. It is doomed to crash. Jesus did not come to make this a better world. He did not enter into this world’s politics. Christ called His disciples out of this world, to be ambassadors for a better word–the heavenly kingdom. As Christ was not of this world, neither must we be. Pentecost reminds us that God’s Holy Spirit in us gives us the power to conquer this world and Satan–the god and ruler of this world.
Sorrow
We all feel sorrow sometimes. Why do we experience sorrow and more importantly: how can we use it for our own spiritual growth?
Is Jury Duty Really That Bad?
Most don’t like to serve on a jury and look at it as an inconvenience. But jury duty is mandatory, unless you have valid reasons for an excuse. Courts have become more and more reluctant to grant excuses. They look especially with disfavor at requests to be excused for sincere religious convictions. Should Christians compromise and take the “easy way” out and just get it over with and serve? What do you need to know and to do in this conflict situation?
