What does the word “heaven” mean to you? While the Bible clearly reveals three heavens at the present time, it also speaks of new heavens, a new earth and even a new Jerusalem. When heaven is spoken of in the Bible, it is important to know what is actually being referenced.

In this sermon, further principles regarding the right use of sex in marriage will be discussed, as they are revealed in the Old Testament books of Song of Solomon, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hosea and Malachi. We will also begin to analyze New Testament passages in the books of Matthew, John, Acts, Romans and 1 Corinthians.

Nothing happens against God’s Will. God is in overall control. But does this mean that God causes all the evils and natural catastrophes in this world today–including earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and firestorms–or is He just allowing them to happen? We see that John did indeed fulfill specific scriptures that foretold his Elijah role, but we also see that these same prophecies included events that would happen in the future–far beyond the lifetime of John the Baptist. Who, then, does the Bible reveal as the One Who will accomplish the “restoration of all things”?

Elijah and Elisha were prophets of God. Their story is used by God to give us understanding about prophetic events that have occurred as well as awesome prophecies that will accompany the end of our own age–when two mighty prophets will fulfill what God has caused to be written in His Word about a yet future “Elijah”!

People are very easily swayed by events that might be called miraculous. Is there a purpose for miracles–both those from God and those that Satan is allowed to cause? For Christians, the issue is to NOT let anyone deceive us–and miracles are an area for which we need to be prepared!

In this first sermon of a series, we will review the Biblical teaching on successful and unsuccessful marriage relationships, and the role of sex in general, as revealed in the Book of Genesis.

A woman is never to set herself up as a teacher in the ministry – or teach at services – as that would mean that men would then be subject to women and would reverse the order that God has set in place.   A woman should not be placed in any ministerial capacity and today women preachers have taken unto themselves authority that is not rightfully theirs.   The Church of God has taught for decades that only men should be in the ministry.  We are to live by every Word of God – and that is the plain teaching of Scripture.
