We have been called out of darkness into light. As lights we must shine with glory, illuminating those that are in darkness. But darkness is never satiated, it constantly spreads into all aspects of human character. The world has chosen this state of being and is comfortable in—an attitude we must constantly be on guard against.

Adultery – A Trivial Offense?
God prohibits adultery. Even though it may be normal in the eyes of many to break the marriage, God pronounces the most severe penalty for the adulterer and the adulteress. Adultery is not a trivial or minor offense, but a terrible sin against God, and He will judge those involved.

Man has to choose to obey God and follow the way that leads to unimaginable blessings. Or, he may decide to turn to the way that appears right to him, but in the end, just leads to a curse.

Will there be a second shutdown? Will there be a declaration of national emergency? Why was there a shutdown in the first place? Why did it end? Why was there such a hostile reaction by some hard-core right-wing pundits to President Trump’s ending of the shutdown? Did the shutdown accomplish anything? Why are politicians so dishonest?

Death Not to be Feared
The world we live in encourages fear and a degree of hysteria with respect to human death. Movies create imagery around the ideas of both horrible evil capable of causing suffering and death, and the celebration of eternal existence, again demonically inspired. Believers in the true living God, the Creator indeed understand that everlasting life is possible through Jesus Christ. If we die prior to the return of Jesus Christ we are asleep in Christ much as Lazarus was prior to Jesus raising him up. We have this same opportunity if we believe and follow the commands of God the Father and His Son.
Naked or Clothed
We are warned not to be spiritually naked. We are told to be clothed with righteousness. What happens when we aren’t? What happens when we find ourselves spiritually naked? The warnings to be clothed are powerful and should inspire each Christian to make the changes necessary to remain clothed and ready for the soon return of Jesus Christ.
