A new member letter has been written and will be sent out next week. In the letter, Rene Messier reminds us of the most important task in which we could possibly be involved today, and he shows HOW it can be done.

We are including the following report given by Norbert Link–as noted before, both he and his wife found it necessary to extend their stay in Germany:

“Just wanting to give all of you a quick update:

“I conducted services yesterday (April 28, 2012) at Thilo/Anita [Hanstein’s] place, because Monique [Sperzel] was sick. So it was just the three of us in person, but we were able to “broadcast” services live over Skype (only audio though, as the video was not working). We had nine adults and two children/babies participate over Skype. We also called Johanna (who stayed with my mom/Oma), and she was able to listen in via phone (due to our limited internet access, she could not participate via Skype). We will attempt to do the same next Sabbath.

“Also, one person from Germany booked already a flight for the FOT in Wales, and I just talked to another couple on the phone, and they and their little baby are committed to attending as well. Perhaps more as we move closer to the Feast.

“I spoke on Grace, Law and Obedience (three “Gs” in German–Gnade, Gesetz and Gehorsam).

“Thilo and Anita [Hanstein] completed “production” of ten more German hymnals, and they are reproducing the CDs, to be distributed to those who signed up for them when attending services in Speyer.

“We are still planning on returning all together on May 8, but would like to solicit your prayers in this regard. Oma’s/my mom’s health had been steady, allowing for the trip. But now, beginning on May 2, her health has begun to deteriorate. Thanks very much for your continued prayers that her health will improve again so that we can make the trip together and are not forced to postpone again. In addition, the problem with the house remains, and we were told that it will NOT be ready on May 8. They are now telling us that it will be May 21. That would be of course a devastating scenario, so your prayers are requested in that regard as well.”

Pentecost will be observed on Sunday, May 27, 2012, with morning and afternoon services.

Our video programs, www.StandingWatch.org and www.AufPostenStehen.de, continue to receive new viewers–YouTube has been particularly effective. The program titled, “When Will Russia Attack Israel?,” has received over 80,000 views on YouTube, while two of the German programs now have over 30,000 views, each. These ten to fifteen minute videos, both presented by Norbert Link, cover a wide range of topics that relate to the Bible and with a special emphasis on prophecy for our time.

Brian and Jill Gale will be returning to England on Monday, April 16, 2012. The Gales have spent several weeks in the United States in conjunction with our Church Conference and in helping in the Ramona congregation. Their visit has been a special highlight for the brethren here.

Norbert and Johanna Link remain in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Link were able to meet with some people who have been responding to our German videos and sermons (aufpostenstehen.de). As well as conducting counseling sessions, Mr. Link also baptised two individuals. They will stay in Germany until the conclusion of the Days of Unleavened Bread.

Norbert and Johanna Link have flown to Germany. Mr. Link will conduct Passover services and meet with a number of individuals who have expressed interest in baptism. Also, Mr. Link will address a meeting for those who have contacted the church as a result of viewing our German language sermons and videos.

A new StandingWatch program was posted on YouTube and on our Website, www.standingwatch.org. It is titled, “Our Moral Decline.” Germany has a new President. He is a pastor from East Germany who lives together with another woman, without being divorced from his wife. This kind of conduct is more and more accepted in our Western world. In American politics, compromise with God’s Word seems to be the norm. None of this will be allowed when Jesus returns. It is high time that we stand up for and choose right standards now, before it is too late.

In addition, a German version of this program appears on YouTube and on our German website, AufPostenStehen.de. It is titled, “Unser Moralischer Zusammenbruch.”

A new German sermon was also posted, titled, “Wie Man den Sabbat Haelt.” This sermon deals with the proper way Christians should keep the Sabbath and observe God’s annual Holy Days.

Annual Conference and Trip

Our annual conference has begun on Thursday, March 15, 2012, and will continue until Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Your continued prayers are requested for God’s guidance and inspiration.

On Monday, March 26, 2012, Norbert and Johanna Link will be flying to Germany to conduct lectures and Church services; to counsel with prospective members; and to observe the Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread with the German brethren. Your prayers for a successful visit will be appreciated.

Does the Bible teach the coming of such a Mahdi? How do the Koran and the Bible differ on the personages known as the beast and the false prophet, or the Masih al Dajal and the Sufyani? Do the Muslims believe in Jesus or Isa, and if so, in what way? Do Muslims believe that Jesus will die again after His return?

New Video Programs

A new StandingWatch program was posted on YouTube and on our Website www.standingwatch.org. It is titled, “Warnings of a Great Crash in 2012.” In spite of optimistic viewpoints, some experts warn that a recession or a depression may be inevitable and could strike as early as by late summer of 2012. US government debt is worse than Greece, while Europeans pour bailout money into a bottomless barrel. Many Americans live far beyond their means and become vulnerable to financial catastrophe. Gas prices and water bills are on the rise, and a more than likely attack on Iran will make a bad economic situation more painful. The British Government has run out of money. Is there any hope for us in light of these grim realities?

It is titled, “Religious and Scientific Deceptions.” In a recent public debate on the origin of life between the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, and the most famous atheist, Richard Dawkins, both gentlemen presented utterly false ideas. The wrong concept that man has evolved from non-humans, whether by accident or with godly involvement, rejects God’s Word and has contributed to a world without true moral and ethical standards.

Feast of Tabernacles 2012 Reservation

The Feast of Tabernacles and the Last Great Day will be kept in 2012 from the evening of Sunday, September 30, 2012, until and including Monday, October 8, 2012.

Individual reservations for the Feast 2012 with the Hilton Garden Inn in Pismo Beach, California, can commence on Friday, February 24, 2012. The hotel has been provided with a list of our members who are planning to attend. Those who have committed to attending with us have been individually contacted. However, everyone will still need to contact the hotel to make his or her individual reservation. When you call the hotel, please make sure that you mention that you are attending the Feast convention of the Church of the Eternal God.

The hotel is offering us a reduced rate of $109.00 per night for a deluxe room. The reduced rate applies for the days of the Feast and also for up to four additional days just before and two days after the Feast. An additional 10% occupancy tax and 1% city tourism assessment applies to this rate. The rooms do not have kitchenettes, but they all have a microwave and a fridge, and a little counter area where one could fix a meal. The hotel is pet-free, but they would allow service/therapy dogs. They also have rooms for handicapped people.

The deluxe rooms are very spacious (approximately 300 square feet) and quite adequate for just a couple with one child. They have also a sleeper couch. Each deluxe room has a sink in the toilet area and another sink outside the toilet.

There is (wireless) Internet access throughout the hotel, including in the meeting hall (“the Mission Room”), which will hold up to 100 people. We will be having the meeting hall for the entire time, with a 24 hour-hold.

They are offering two free hot breakfasts each day per room (children under 12 eat free). The hotel is only five years old, and was extensively remodeled last year. The rooms are insulated to avoid any noise from the outside. They have a pool (heated throughout the year), a nice pool area, and an exercise room. The closest beach is 5 minutes away, and the area has many restaurants and shopping opportunities. Avila Beach with fire pits is about 10 or 15 minutes away.
