Real Change Through the Holy Spirit
God gives us His Holy Spirit so that we can change and become different persons. We must engage in this process of change on a continuous basis. This sermon gives several points as to how to do this, to guarantee that we will inherit eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
Righteousness and Glory
We are told in Matt.6:33 to seek first the Kingdom of God, and God’s righteousness. What exactly does it mean to seek after righteousness? How does glory play into this equation? Are these parts of making it into the Kingdom as the scriptures suggests?
Religious and Scientific Deceptions
In a recent public debate on the origin of life between the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, and the most famous atheist, Richard Dawkins, both gentlemen presented utterly false ideas. A Symbolic Story of our Lives
A young man is sent out into the world by his poor parents to seek a better way of life, only to find himself in many trials and tests, until he develops a change of heart by saving the ones he loves. Within this story there are many symbolic principles in relation to the Bible which can be applied personally and/or spiritually in our lives.
Signs, Dreams and Circumstances
After giving a brief update on Feast preparations for 2007, this sermon will discuss the dangers related to requesting or seeking signs; focusing on dreams; or analyzing “circumstances,” when confronted with having to make difficult decisions. We must be aware that there could be wrong signs and false dreamers of dreams–even in God’s Church. And, as Biblical examples prove, “circumstances” could be easily misinterpreted or misjudged, if we are not very close to God, so as to be able to really know His Word and His Will for us.
All Knowledge
In our calling, we must choose the kind of knowledge we will have. Our challenge is to walk in the light of truth and not walk in darkness of evil. We are called upon to practice the truth in order to come to the light. Furthermore, the Church of God is to present the truth of God just as Jesus Christ did.
